Succesful-February 2025 Famtrip with MDF
In February 2025, we proudly hosted another successful familiarization trip (famtrip) in partnership with the Market Development Facility (MDF), designed to showcase the raw beauty and adventure potential of Timor-Leste to international partners.
Over five days, our group of adventure riders and tourism professionals explored a stunning route from Dili to Maubisse, across to Same, and back to Dili. The ride featured thrilling off-road trails, cultural encounters, and visits to remote communities — highlighting everything that makes Timor-Leste a truly unique riding destination.

Adventure Tourism in Timor-Leste: Our Partnership with MDF
At Dili Dirt Bike, we’re dedicated to promoting adventure tourism in Timor-Leste. Through our partnership with the Market Development Facility (MDF), supported by the Australian Government, we’ve enhanced safety, expanded our offerings, and showcased the natural beauty and culture of our country.
The MDF Partnership and Familiarization Trips
With MDF’s support, we’ve improved our safety standards and developed new, exciting routes. As part of the project, we invite bike enthusiasts and adventure tour companies to experience Timor-Leste through our all-inclusive 5-day familiarization trips (excluding flights). Participants arrive in Dili on the 23rd of February, enjoy three full days of riding on the 24th, 25th, and 26th, and depart on the 27th.
In August 2024, we hosted 10 riders from Australian tour companies, and we’re excited to offer another trip in February 2025.
